Smile for the camera at the Paddle Round The Pier 2012
For the past few year's one of the paddle crew, Chris Beasley, has taken to floating around in the sea taking photos of people. Last year all the photos he took were put on sale in the Sharkbait Surf Shop and helped raise £220 towards the paddle charities.
If you're coming to the event this year to take part in any of the in-the-water activities then you might be able to get a photo of yourself AND help the charities! Here's Chris to explain..
"In 2010 I took lots of pictures in the water during the Paddle – I gave them away, what an idiot !
"This year I'll be out in the water again, and all the photos will be sold on Sharkbait for a tenner a go with every penny we make going to the three really brilliant charities we're supporting.
"Look out for the camera in the water, then check out the sharkbait website after the event, there will be downloadable contact sheets, choose your pic and pay online. We'll email you the image either direct or via wetransfer – it's crude, but it saves us setting up a complex website."
